First an foremost, to my secret dishcloth pal….thanks for your prayers and worries! No I haven’t answered or posted because I got shot in the eye!
I was playing airsoft war with my brother and fiance and got shot in the eye. I’m ok, but I had a severely abraded cornea. It’s still not all better. If I close my good eye, which ironically enough was my ‘bad’ eye before, I see words as a haze. Most big things come though alright but text is still fuzzy. With both eyes together I see almost perfect, I think. I think I’ve more or less gotten used to a fuzzy eye. I had a contact lens over it to keep it protected and that’s off now. If it’s not back by sometime this week I get to go back and get the abrasion looked at. It may never be right and my prescription might change a bit but I’ll be ok. Don’t play with shooty things without good eye protection.
I’ve done some thinking. Yes Carol…I’ve changed, AGAIN, what I want to be when I grow up. Cause I’m not grown up right now at 28. Hahaha. With my years of bookkeeping, I think I’m going to go for an MBA and a CPA and make the big bucks. I’m not going to major in Accounting because frankly they don’t make the big bucks. I really like investments and might go for investment banking but right now it sits at something financial. A big part of that choice is because work will pay for school if it will further me at the job.
I’m going to start working out again. For real. Yeah yeah…I say it and all. Really. It’s happening.
I’m trying to eat less processed food. I even made my own bread and will make another loaf tonight. I made beer bread with Guiness. It was SO GOOD! The smell…all fresh and baking. I didn’t even use a mixer…I did it by hand. I’m going to move toward more whole grains and all fresh baked stuff. Everything has soy in it and I’m allergic.
I really need to figure out how to organize all my crafting ideas. Printing them out just wouldn’t be economical and I can’t bookmark them lest they move by the time I get around to them. I guess just save the webpage but that makes thumbing though it harder. Hmm.
Ok…my eye is starting to water and blur really bad. Look for pictures of my baked bread. I’m going to veg a few and then watch my Weeds and Diary of a Call Girl while I do laundry. Whee. Laundry.
